ello, ello!

Hi all,

Things are going great over here in Londontown. After we went to the bars a few nights ago, I went to bed around 1am, and slept til 2pm. Chelsea said she was questioning whether I was breathing or not haha. I was just struggling with jetlag still!

After we finally got showered and out, it was around 4:30. We stayed in the area and did some shopping. We found an adorable little store where we got some dresses and shoes. It was extremely reasonably priced and a great find. After that, we were looking around some of the street vendors. Fulham is such an awesome place to live. There are so many people selling super fresh fruit and vegetables and all types of things for so cheap! I got a HUGE bowl of bananas for just a pound. Thats a little less than 2 U.S dollars. At home, it would have been at least 6 or 7. We did a little shopping for our flat. We got some towels, hooks, hangers and whatnot. Walking down the street was a challenge, but we're getting used to carrying groceries and such farther than just from the car to the door like we do at home.

We ate some dinner and watched a movie and then we got ready to go out. Chelsea and I decided to try our 5 pound bottle of wine. It was NOT a good choice hahah. We got together with Sarah, Julianne and Ayla, who live above us and headed out to the bar we had been to the night before. We met up with some other friends and had a great time! We met a number of locals and just had a blast. Of course things are different here, but it's so funny to notice the little differences. In American clubs, when people dance, they normally grind or whatever you want to call it, but here it is so much classier. People do the tango and spin each other around. It's so great. We got the numbers of a few people who live in the area, so it'll be fun if we get in touch and hang out with them again.

The plan for today is that we're going to school to sign up for some trips and then we're just going to explore the area. I might possibly try and find a place to buy a camera since mine is just not going to cut it. I cannot believe I live here. It's only been a few days, but everything we do, even just buying groceries or walking around, is such an experience. I love it.

Sending lots of love from across the pond,
Paige
