Good Morning all! (for those of you in America, Good VERY EARLY Morning).
On Saturday night, I ended up not doing homework as I had originally planned (go figure). I ended up going out with Julianne, Sarah and Lindsey. They are my flatmates who live upstairs. It was great to spend some time with them because they normally are away on weekends so I really had such a fun time! We changed our plans about 5 different times trying to decide which club we should go to. We finally decided to hit up Zoo Bar. We made a stop in another bar that was right next door when they told us we could get free drinks, but then we were informed that you had to buy drinks to get free drinks. No Thanks! We then headed into Zoo Bar. It was really fun and there were some really great songs playing so everyone was singing along and dancing. Lindsey actually lost her camera only for it to be found behind the bar. Someone had returned it, but not without snapping a group shot of themselves beforehand. Such luck! I've lost my camera before and it is devastating. We then headed home, but I had just bought a pint so I actually just walked out with it. I was pretty stealth about it and split it with Sarah so it was gone pretty quick, but now we have another glass to add to our dishware!
On Sunday night, I didn't do too much. I was kind of in a funk because I am extremely stressed about Spring Break and all of my midterms. I know that midterms here aren't really a big deal, but they are when we're not really having any other grades at the moment. I am a little nervous as well because they guidelines aren't very clear and they are both group projects. So hopefully we get As and can then relax and enjoy Spring Break (which I am still in the process of figuring out where I am going to be and how I am going to get there, talk about down to the wire!)
Monday, I worked from home for my internship but I wasn't given much to do as the supervisor that I normally interact with wasn't feeling well so I just did some laundry and whatnot.
Today I am in the office and have some down time since I accomplished everything on the to-do list I was given. I know, I'm such a skilled employee. ;) I've been working on rewriting the newsletter for the English audience, so that is always exciting. An American rewriting an American newsletter for the British audience! I have also been dealing with the twitter and the status report for the month of February.
I started reading the Hunger Games today on the tube. I am already on page 50. Yes the font is pretty big, but I was whipping through it this morning as tired as I was. Apparently kids of all ages love it. I actually can't wait to head home so I can start reading again. I was skeptical at first because it is sort of a weird plot line, but it is incredibly interesting. I always forget how much I love to read since so much of my time is spent on the computer or in class or doing work. It's nice to relax and read for pleasure rather than homework.
I cannot believe it is almost Spring Break. I leave Friday and then am returning the following Saturday only to pick up Noah and Juice from the airport on Sunday morning! They're coming for the week which is their Spring Break! I am so excited. Juice and I have been talking about what we want to do and of course we'll do touristy things like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the Tower of London, etc, but I am also so excited to take her to the Portobello Market on Saturday Morning and then possibly go to Church on Sunday! Church is not Church for those of you who are thinking I am being a good Catholic... Church is a club here in London that operates from 12-4 on Sundays. It's St. Patrick's Day themed so it should be pretty fantastic. We also want to go to this thing called the "Enchanted Palace Exhibition" that my mom told me about. It is this exhibition where they recreate the rooms of the palace to the princesses who used to live in them! It should be pretty great. I can't believe there is only a week with Juice cause there are so many things I want to take her to.
Well that's all for now. I just got an email that I am apparently going to write my first press release! Here goes nothing! Lots of love and missing you all like crazy.
Xx
Paige
