Well folks, quite a few things have happened since my last post. First and most importantly, Sheila and I moved in to our new apartment in Dublin! We're living in Ranelagh, which is technically outside of the city, but still considered Dublin. It's an area with a ton of restaurants and pubs that obviously.. we just can't wait to try out.
We got to move in Friday morning. So we signed the lease, unpacked and headed out for some lunch. We found a really great place right in the village that had awesome sandwiches (I had a pesto goat cheese burger-- yea I know, who am I?) We didn't have internet for the rest of the day, so we just hung out and settled in before we headed out to dinner and to check out McSorley's that everyone had been telling us about. We chatted with some locals and had a few pints, it was a good time.

Saturday, we did some grocery shopping and even some laundry. Let me tell ya, peeps.. a good washer and dryer is most definitely something I will not take for granted ever again. We have a "combo" here in our apartment, but the dryer aspect is actually a giant joke.

Sunday, we laid low for the most part. We watched a lot of Netflix as we had perhaps enjoyed ourselves a bit too much the night before haha. We did some additional shopping to get some pots, pans, etc. so we could maybe begin to be domesticated and cook dinner haha.

Since it is of course Cinco de Mayo, we went to a burrito place so we could celebrate. Unfortunately there weren't any margaritas or Coronas to be had, but the burritos got the job done for sure.
The rest of the week shall be dedicated to sorting out bin collection, opening a bank account (so we can actually pay bills for everything ie: Internet, Electric, Rent.. ya know.. no big deal) and job hunting. It's proving to be a bit more complicated than anticipated so fingers crossed we figure it all out sooner rather than later. We've also adapted to being cavewomen/ living under blankets in order to save money. Electricity operates everything over here.. lights, water, heat, the stove, so we're trying to conserve everything we can.. to save money for more important things.. like clothes and alcohol haha.
Well that's it for now! Slowly, but surely, we're gettin the hang of it.
Love to all at home,
Paige xx
