Halloween, Birthdays and Rugby

Hello everyone!

I know it's been a while since I last posted, but believe me, it's been quite a busy few weeks with tons of fun, surprises and love!

For Halloween, Eddie and a few of his mates came out to ours for some pre drinks and Halloween fun. Our costumes were much better this time around, that is FOR SURE. We played some games, took some pics and then headed out on the town, the best way we know how.

We also took some time during the week to grab lunch at a Mexican restaurant in town and also hit up the National Leprechaun Museum. It's a guided tour through the "fairy world" where you listen to Irish folklore and get to learn a little about the tiny mischievous lil' guys. We had a grand time climbing on the giant furniture (even some parts that weren't part of the exhibit) and well as pretending to be part of a story book. Definitely a mid week treat between weekend fun!

The following weekend was a HUGE rugby match in Ireland. We've been talking about going out and cheering on good ol' Ireland for a few weeks now and let me tell you, the day did NOT disappoint. Eddie's friend Ben snagged two tickets to the match (which just happened to be the day before Eddie's birthday) so to say he was beside himself with excitement would be an understatement.

Corna, Eddie, Ben, Ali, Al and I headed out for a couple pre game pints. The four of them were going to the game so Corna and I decided to celebrate before and after with them and hang out in a pub near the match during it so we could watch. On our way towards the stadium, we saw the team's bus outside the Shelbourne Hotel, which is the nicest hotel in Dublin. While we waited outside to try and snag a few shots of the team, Al had the idea to go inside to the bar and grab a pint and wait. It was an excellent choice. Everyone was squeezed in waiting for them to come down the stairs. There was singing, cheering, and even bagpipes! It was an unexpected surprise, but a great start to the day.

To top off the fun that surrounds the match in general, IRELAND WON! South Africa was expected to win, so obviously we celebrated even more! We went to a number of pubs and at midnight had some celebratory jager bomb shots at O'Neills for Eddie's birthday. We had an absolute blast and it's exactly what you're picturing when you think of a big match in Europe. The enthusiasm surrounding it and the buzz all over town is infectious. I love it.

Love to back home,
Paige xx
