Why hello there friends and family,
Last night, early evening, I met up with Miguel, Josch and Fran at Havanas for a few drinks. A few drinks turned into a whole night when flat 29 showed up! We had an awesome time. Later into the night, Silvia (a friend from earlier in the week) showed up and I was so excited to see her! They're so wonderful and extremely nice to me. It's nice to be making some friends from Europe!I forgot to bring my new camera though last night which is a total bummer!I think I'm going to see some of them on Saturday, so I can't forget it then!
This morning, I woke up extremely early, only to be faced with a commute to my internship that seemed like FOREVER. Two tube lines and a taxi ride later, I found the internship and my supervisor. I am working for a small Public Relations agency that works with travel and tourism. Deirdre, my supervisor, explained to me that I would be working on the PR for one of the programs they have designed for kids in the island of St. Kitts. She said there would be some social media management and press releases, etc. It's going to be my job to spread the word. I'm really excited because the project seems like it is exactly what I want to do! She said that they have a very casual atmosphere and I can wear whatever I am comfortable in, as well as work from home some days if needed. She seemed like she is going to be a blast to work for, and it is a very small staff, so it should be fun.
I'm not too sure what the plans for this evening are. I took a 5 hour nap today, TALK ABOUT LAZY. I guess I just really needed it.
After today, I feel that my independence has skyrocketed. I navigated my way to zone 4, all by myself. It is quite an accomplishment.
I'm missing everyone from home, but I wish you all were here experiencing London with me!
Lots of love from Big ol Benny and I,
Paige Xx
