Hello, again!

one of the shop buildings in Oxford Circus
I finally get to hear the phrase I've waited to hear since I was little! "MIIIIND THE GAP." (thanks dad!)
some pics from the QPR game!

Notting Hill! I was so excited and my mind jumped right to the movie! (Mom you know exactly what scene!)
Chelsea and I at the gates of Buckingham Palace!
My flat mates and I goofin off as Michael tried to get a decent picture of us.
Michael, Alex and myself chillin on the wall.
Alex was strugglin a little tryna get up on the wall hahah. Ayla and I had to lend a hand.

I know I posted this morning already, but I'm just relaxing for the rest of the day so I figured I'd put up a few pictures and such.

As I mentioned earlier, I had my first class today. Let me tell you, three hours is ROUGH. The first two hours are ok, at least I can survive them, but that last hour is brutal. I was trying so hard not to doze off. I completely overestimated how long it would take me to get ready and to school this morning, so I got up at 8:30. I know for next time, that I need much less time.

My class, although long, was pretty interesting. It is called British Pop and it's the study of contemporary music in England. It is basically the analyzing and discussion of some classic (and not so classic) songs from the past century or so. We listened to a few this morning. I had heard one of them many times, but the other two were interesting. If you're looking for a strange song, go listen to "Jesse" by Scott Walker. The intro is basically the intro of "Jailhouse Rock" by Elvis, but slowed down to haunting melody.

It appears that we aren't going to have any tests in the class, which is good. We're only gonna have 4 or 5 papers and then a group project. Although papers are annoying, I'll be able to work on them, rather than stressing about studying for a test.

I made it home and made some tortellini (waaay more than I could eat, but I was so hungry it seemed to be an appropriate amount at the time!) and now I'm going to crawl back into bed and maybe watch some TV. The show "The Inbetweeners" was recommended to me by some British "mates." I recently started watching it and it is actually really funny. I don't know that it's necessarily appropriate for all audiences (and when I say all, I mean very limited, hahah), but I have been enjoying it.

OK I think that's all for today. More tomorrow.

Sendin all mah lovin,
Paige Xx
