Working Girl

On Sunday, I woke up late (as usual) and Ayla and I had decided that we were going to go shopping. By the time we got our act together, it was after 3, and Primark (the store we were planning on going to) closed at 5. We decided we wanted to do something other than sit around all day, so she came up with the idea to get crepes. We went to a place in South Kensington. It was so tiny, and only a few people could fit in at a time but it was ADORABLE. I got crepes called "Lady Loves" and it was strawberries, heavy cream and melted dark chocolate. I'm kicking myself over not taking a picture because it literally could have been in a magazine. It was beautiful, but I was too excited and too hungry not to dive in soon as it was placed in front of me! While on the bus, we saw tons of cute restaurants, bakeries and pubs in the area and we decided that definitely one day soon, we will have to go back and do a food/ pub crawl and have one item of food at each place, interspersed with a drink at a pub! Yea, we know, it's brilliant.


Today, I woke up at 7:45am in order to get ready for my first day of my internship! Although I was happy to finally be starting, I can't say I was the happiest camper when my alarm went off. I got dressed and ready, and headed out the door at around 8:30am. I made all of my transfers without any problems and arrived promptly at 10:00am. My supervisor was the only one in the office today, so she had me do some work with the social media for the company. I found and followed over 200 people for the account. It was mainly journalists and travel bloggers and major news outlets in the UK. I also ran to the post office to mail a package in priority mail and then returned to do a little research on some family travel bloggers. That pretty much sums up my day. I then left at around 5:00pm and started my journey home. Let me tell you, travelling at rush hour on the tube is NOT fun. It was cray. People were squished into the tube like sardines.


I then stopped at Sainsbury's on my way home and picked up some groceries. I made some dinner, showered and watched the last episode of the British TV show I had been watching. I am currently doing some homework for SPUK (Sports in the UK) which includes some journal entries about the sporting events we've been to. I'm awfully tired so I'll be heading to bed soon so I can wake up and do it all over again!
