The last few days have been pretty fun, tiring, but fun. My internship just wipes me out. On Monday, I got to work from home which was nice. I was at my computer all day, but at least I didn't have to do the commute. In the morning, I reformatted a few press releases and then put them on a website called icontact, but then for the rest of the day and all of Tuesday, I had the same task. There was a list of over 200 journalists, and I had to google them and find out via articles they have written, blogs, twitters, etc, if they have kids or not. The point was to see if they should be sent an invite down to St. Kitts for a promotional trip. If they have kids or not is relevant because they are trying to promote the "Kids 'r' VIP" program, so it wouldn't be very helpful if a journalist who doesn't have kids or a journalist that doesn't write about family travel went down to St. Kitts.
**ATTENTION :This story is not relevant, I just thought I'd include it because it was just part of my day.
Although on Tuesday, I had to go back into the office. As I was walking downhill from my internship to the tube, I realized I had forgotten my phone charger. As I got to the tube station, I took a cab all the way back and asked if he could wait outside for 30 seconds while I ran in and got it. He said that it was no problem. While in the car, the driver, who's father is apparently already in the hospital, got a phone call saying his father had had a stroke. He had to go back to the hospital but he had already not known where he was going so he kept missing the turn. I felt so bad because his mind was elsewhere. But it was definitely a hectic few minute cab ride.
On Tuesday night, a few friends and I went to see Legally Blonde, the play! It was so fun and just as good as the first time I saw it. The songs are still stuck in my head. I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed that they didn't have accents. Also, another random story. A very large woman was sitting next to me so I was basically sitting on top of Chelsea. All of a sudden in the middle of the show, her arms drop to her sides and one of them into my lap and she starts twitching. The man she was with kept asking if she was ok, and she couldn't talk. She just kept making noises. Then all of a sudden, she claims that she is fine and it was just hot in there... I literally thought the woman was having a stroke, yet she stayed for the remainder of the performance, it was WEIRD.

Alex, Michael, Chelsea and I decided it would be a delicious idea to make some french toast when we got home from the play! We are becoming quite the french toast connoisseurs, let me tell you.
This morning, instead of my British Pop class actually having class, we went to the O2 to see the British Music Experience. The place was AWESOME. It was an interactive museum that took you through the different eras of British music. There was an introductory video that teaches you how to use your ticket, and then you are led into this room called "the core" which is a whole bunch of basic information about the history of British music. From this core, there are a number of different rooms of all the different eras. In each room, there were different displays that you could read, listen to and see different costumes and paraphernalia. Your ticket was used so you could "swipe" it and then store the information you want on your own personal part of the BME website. It was actually incredibly interesting. I saw a lot of Who stuff (checked it out for you, Pops) such as Roger Daltrey's tassled jumpsuit and one of Pete Townshend's broken guitars. I saw a number of Spice girl outfits as well as some hand written lyrics by Duffy and Kate Nash. I really really enjoyed it and it was obviously a lot better than sitting in a classroom for three hours! I have my first paper due next week though so that's a little scary, but it's on music so I hope it won't be too difficult!
spice girls!
inside the O2, which apparently was going to be a temporary fixture but is now permanent (obvs), but it looks to be a giant tent. This is where MJ was gonna have his final show in London. Heavy stuff when you're standing there.
In other news, we booked Spring Break! Well sort of, we booked our flights to and from Italy, we haven't planned all of the in between cities yet. We have 9 days there so we're gonna hit all the major ones! It should be really fun.
My dad bought tickets for Aunt Hannah and Aunt Tiny to come out and visit in a few weeks! I can't wait to see you guys :) It'll be so nice to see some familiar faces from home/ get a few free meals from my dad hahah.
Welp, I think that's it for now! I've definitely settled in and adapted to life in London. Although I still have those moments where I am SHOCKED that I am living here, I wake up used to the feeling of being in London. I've become accustomed to the accents, and will be heartbroken when I go home and cannot hear them anymore lol. They make everything sound so much better. There are still SO many things I need to see and do. I still haven't had my first fish n' chips yet!
Missing and Loving you all from afar,
Paige Xx
Also, shout out to Aaron who told me that I needed to update this, so thank you all of you who read this! It means a lot that you're all so interested :)
