Just tryna sit with Prince Harry

Hello family and friends!

Let me start off by saying that I hope it is significantly warmer over in the states than it is here, because I am getting just a little tired of my eyes watering from wind every time I step outside! Apparently it was 60 something degrees in Ithaca the other day. DID I BRING THE COLD WITH ME?

Today I had a full day of classes. I had sport marketing in the morning which what just the same old thing. Powerpoints, discussions on what's happening in sports and the like. I also learned that David Beckham traemarked his kick when used in advertisements. That means that instead of being advertised as a football player (as in soccer), he is advertised as himself. I don't know if I explained that well enough, but yea. I thought it was interesting.

For SPUK (Sports in the UK), we took a field trip out to Twickenam to take a tour of the stadium. Twickenam is the stadium that the official England rugby team plays at. It was awesome to be able to see an international stadium as opposed to the small club we had been to when we saw Blackheath play. We got to see the whole field from the very top, as well as tour the lockerrooms, the royal box, and the presidential suite. We even got to go out onto the field. It was FREEZING though and I forgot that we would be taking a trip so I was not dressed as warmly as I should have been, but I still enjoyed myself. I'm really enjoying getting to see all of the places and attending games that I probably would not have gone to if I weren't in these classes.

there were even roses on the carpet, signifying the English rose.

shout out to Uncle Cholly, Old Ireland rugby jerseys and what not.
just my professor trying out the scrum machine. she used to play rugby for England and has even played at Twickenam. not a big deal.

Well I think everything is now up to date. Tomorrow, I don't have any classes or anything so I get to sleep in! Thank GOD. I can't wait to not have to be awake and ready before 9am!

Lots of love,
Paige Xx
