Yea, I know. Not a very interesting blog title, but I couldn't really think of anything else that would be relevant. On Friday, Alex, Chelsea and I set out to Stratford to go to the Westfield shopping center, that I think I may have mentioned before. It's the one right across from the Olympic site. The place is NUTS. We were there for hours and we didn't see the whole place. It's a good thing that it's not closer to us because I think I would be there every day off that I have.
We also had our first Primark experience. Primark is a giant department store that has everything for ridiculously cheap. I got about 5 shirts for about 20 pounds. They are all over London so I'll probably be back there at least 50 more times.
Friday night, I went out to this club called the Underground. It was only a 2 pound cover and it was pop night so they played new and old pop songs and we just danced all night. I went out with Alyssa, Michael, Alex and Eva and we met up with a number of other Ithacans as well. It was too difficult for me to get home so I ended up spending the night with them. It was nice to see some other flats and see how all of us are living. They all have huge living rooms so I'm jeal of that f'sho.
Yesterday we just hung around the flat and then did some grocery shopping. I then went out with some Miguel and Fran and a couple of their friends to a pub and then we ended up at a club in Picadilly Circus. That's where all the happs are f'sho. I had a great time, minus the SNOW! I can't believe it snowed here. Everyone was acting as if it were the apocolypse. They apparently haven't seen snow in FOREVER and everyone was worried that the half inch of snow was going to close down all of the transportation services and whatnot. It was crazy! I apparently brought all of the winter weather with me since it was 60 in Ithaca recently.
We have been having some issues here in #flat29. We can only use a select few outlets in the kitchen since Alex blew a fuse with her straightener! We've definitely all been getting cozy on our laptops and I don't think our kitchen table has ever seen so much action.
We also woke up to a nice little surprise, the mouse that has been plaguing our apartment has been found! I was lucky enough to find it dead while Chelsea was in the shower. I may or may not have cried. We scooped it into the garbage and took it outside right away. Thank GOD we don't have to worry about it anymore, but I can't see that I am not still skeeved out about it. BLEGH. I do NOT do well with rodents. I am just comforted by the fact that I now know it is gone for good!
Tonight is the super bowl which is going to start WAY later over here. I'm not too sure of the plan yet, but I am definitely tryna watch!
My dad, Aunt Hannah and Aunt Tiny are coming this weekend and I absolutely cannot wait to see them! I'm going to be sending out postcards soon so keep your eyes peeled! :) I'll also be putting up some pics once I get them onto my computer.
Lots of Love,
Paige Xx
