Living the Dream

Greetings Loved Ones,

It's been a bit since I updated but I have just been living the life out here.

Last Thursday, I woke up early to get ready for my interview with Atlantic Records. After having some issues with printing my resume, I finally made it to the interview with just a few minutes to spare. I met a couple of the guys who I would be working for and had my fingers crossed that I'd be able to work there.

I then came home, had some lunch and headed out for a hike with Steve and Kat. We hiked up Mt. Hollywood after checking out the Griffith Observatory. It was beautiful and such a great day! We then went out to dinner in downtown Burbank and had some delicious burgers at Fuddruckers followed by a heaping portion of FroYo from Yogurtland. It was the perfect end to a fantastic day.

Friday, I drove Kat to an interview in Santa Monica. We grabbed some lunch and then ran some quick errands. One of them being trading in my car. Apparently Enterprise gave me a car in the class below the one we were paying for so I traded in my Toyota Yaris for a Chevy Impala. My friends and I are calling it the hip grandpa car. It's a sweet ride, but a little grandpa-ish. I'm lovin it though.

Saturday, as a program with our lovely RAs, a bunch of us headed to the Grove which is a farmer's market/ shopping area. It was wonderful and of course the weather was perfect. We grabbed some food (I was not too impressed with my food, but it was still fun!) and then headed out. We decided to drive around and check out Beverly Hills. After cruising around for a while, we came across the UCLA campus. We got incredibly lost, but somehow got ourselves to an exit which dropped us right in front of Bel Air. Obviously we had to check it out. Our jaws hit the floor as we looked at not only the homes, but the cars parked in the driveways. We were all green with envy.

I am not quite sure why I look like a giraffe, but the roomies bein cayute once again!

Sunday, we spent the entire day by the pool. I got a little burnt, but it was worth it! It's so great having a pool right outside the door. Sunday night, Julianne, Chelsea, The Kearas and I headed to Santa Monica Pier. It was such a lovely evening. There was a beautiful memorial set up for Memorial Day on the beach. After getting hit on by some awkward creeps, we headed out. It took us a little longer to get home because my stupid GPS likes to be a pain in the rear.

Julianne and Chelsea super excited for MDW!

On Monday, I woke up for another interview with Tailfish PR. After talking to the owner, she offered me a position! I was really excited because it seems like I'll get a lot of good experience!

Today, I just hung out because I was not quite ready to face the sun yet because of my burns. I did some reading and just relaxed. I'll need it because I found out that I got the internship with Atlantic! I decided that I am going to work 2 days at each company so I can get a whole lot of experience! I also need to get all the hours necessary for the credit and since I'm not here for that long, I gotta get crackin! I'm so incredibly excited. I'm living in California, working at two AWESOME companies and loving every second of the ride.

I also dyed my hair today! Not quite as light as I wanted and I'm not sure if I'm crazy about it yet but we'll see what the California sunshine does to it :)

Also, as I type this, I apparently just felt my first California earthquake! It was so minor, I barely even felt it. It's cool to say though. It's my second earthquake in my lifetime!

Also, Julianne got us tickets to go see Chelsea Lately, a show with comedian Chelsea Handler on E!, and she also just told me that she got verification that we are now officially seeing... wait for it.... wait for it... THE VOICE!! I am so excited to be in the same room as Adam Levine, Cee Lo and Blake Shelton, I can hardly contain myself! Christina Aguilera... well I guess that'll be cool, but I may just trip her if she walks by me! I recently lost all of my respect for her, but it'll be exciting to see her still!

That's all for now! I hope you're all not getting to down about the rain that has been hittin the east coast hard. Just know I'm wishing you all were here basking in the sunshine with me! ;)

Lots of love and sunshine coming your way,
Paige xx
