This past week has been wonderful. I started my internship at Tailfish on Thursday. I went in for a halfday, but I feel like I actually was interning! I did a decent amount of work and really wasn't sitting around at all. I feel like it's going to be a great experience because I'll get to do a lot of hands on work with the clients.
Julianne and I went out for dinner when I got back and then did some shoe shopping. We grabbed some froyo and then headed back to the apartment. When we got back, I realized that I couldn't find my cell phone. After looking for what felt like forever, I was slowly coming to the conclusion, that i had lost my cell phone once again. Someone had turned it off because it was going straight to voicemail and it definitely was not on low battery.
The next morning, I accepted defeat and called my parents and told them that their idiot of a daughter, lost her phone once again. Luckily, one of the Verizon products on my dad's contract was due for an upgrade that he didn't need so I was able to get a new phone. I thank my lucky stars everyday that I have the parents I have. I think if my daughter lost 5 phones in 8 months, she would be using cups and a string to communicate.
Saturday, a bunch of us girls lounged by the pool all day. Living in the Oakwoods, let alone California is a dream life. I can't get enough of it!
Saturday night, Kat, Julianne and I went out to dinner at a place we had seen previously in downtown Burbank. While my meal was pretty good, the girls didn't quite enjoy theirs so it's safe to say we won't be returning there anytime soon.
We then headed to Club Nokia to check out a live podcast taping of some comedians. We got to see Andy Richter, which was pretty cool. We decided to head out early to get some fresh air and our wedge heels weren't exactly agreeing with standing and watching other people sit on stage haha. We ended up walking around where the Staples Center is and whatnot and had a great time just taking in the sights.
On Sunday, we woke up bright and early and headed to Universal Studios Hollywood for a school program. Yes a school program to Universal Studios.. I think I can live with that. Universal is literally a mile from where we live so it was so easy to get there.
We started off with a studio tour in which we got to see sets from old western movies, Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives and the set for War of the Worlds. It was awesome.
After the tour, we went on all the rides including the brand new Transformers simulation ride, The Mummy roller coaster, The Simpsons Simulator and even a Jurassic Park water ride. We saw a couple of shows including the animal actors and a water stunt show. The Transformers ride was INCREDIBLE. The 3D Simulation was fantastic. We were falling, Flying, Running, Shooting, Being attacked. We had a blast.

When we got home, Julianne, Kat and I watched the movie The Last Song and then the MTV Movie Awards. We were bitter about not getting tickets to be there (especially since we saw them setting up for them at Universal!), but after watching them and seeing how incredibly weird and awkward the whole show was, we were happy to be watching from the comfort of our couch!
Today I have the day off so I spent it filling out some paperwork for Atlantic as well as cleaning and getting organized. I should probably head to the gym and do laundry and then hopefully it'll be sunny out so I can go lay by the pool!
Also, here are some shots from the hikes we went on since we've been out here!
I miss you all so much!
Sending love and sunshine from the golden coast,
