This past week FLEW by. I cannot believe I have been out here for a few weeks already! Tuesday, I didn't do much other than things for my internships and errands and whatnot.
Wednesday, I headed into work in Santa Monica and had a regular day. I got to leave early though because my boss had a meeting. She gave me some work to do for when I got home though.
The next morning, I went back to work again and finished up some work before heading out to meet on of our clients. It was really cool being able to see how those types of business meetings work and whatnot. We met with Rie at a coffee shop not too far from my boss's house. I took notes during the meeting and my boss was really pleased with what I did so she let me be her +1 for a private party in Hollywood Hills on Friday! I sat in on a phone call with a potential client and took some more notes before I headed home for the day.
Friday, I woke up, got ready and then headed down to the radio station studio where my boss hosts her weekly show. I was anticipating just kind of sitting in and watching how it all unfolds, but when I sat down on the side, she asked me why I wasn't sitting in one of the seats with a microphone. I got to actually be ON the radio show. I didn't say much because I was feeling nervous, but I said a couple things. It was AWESOME. Rie was there so she played some music live and her voice is just as beautiful as it is on her recorded tracks.
After that, I sat in on a conference call before my boss and I headed out to a show for another client. They're called Canto and it is a band of brothers, ages 19, 17 and 16. They are incredibly talented and are definitely going places. The show was in a park and since it is California, the weather was perfect. It was a great evening. Afterwards, we grabbed a quick bite to eat with the other band manager, the boys' dad and the brother who plays the bass.
Once we finished eating, Taylor and I headed to home in Hollywood Hills for a private event that we had been invited to! We got changed in our cars and did our makeup on the go. We only stayed for a bit since we were exhausted. I should have taken a picture of my outfit though because my boss said I looked great!
This morning, I woke up, put on some sunscreen and headed to the pool to start Julianne's birthday weekend off right! We had a few drinks and soaked in the California sunshine. My friend Rudy is finally out on the west coast for the summer so we got a chance to hangout with him!
It was a wonderful day after a busy day on Friday.
This evening, Julianne and I spent the night watching some lame movies and I shoved the largest marshmellow on the planet earth in my mouth while Julianne looked on in disgust. A roussssing Saturday night, haha.
We put a marshy in the microwave and it was the size of the PLATE.
I haven't started at Atlantic yet, but I'm going to be working at Tailfish a couple more days than normal until then so I can make sure I get all my hours I need in order to get the credits.
That's about it for this week! Life is pretty sweet out here in LA. I'm loving California and my internships, so I'm a pretty happy camper.
