It's been an absolutely crazy week! I arrived back in LA on Monday. I hung out for a bit while I waited for Julianne and Kat to get back from seeing Conan and then we headed out to Orange County to see Rudy's new place. We hung out, listened to music, fell in love with his roommate's cat, Siren (who we renamed Thumbnail) and got some of the best frozen yogurt I've ever had. It was delicious!
Tuesday, Julianne, Kat and I went to a taping of Chelsea Lately! After waiting in line in the sun for quite a while, we finally were seated! The studio was rather small so we had great seats. Ross was on the round table so all was right in the world. It was over before we knew it, but it was awesome.
That night, we headed down to The Roxy for one of the company I intern for's clients' show! Rudy and his roommate, Riley joined us. It was a great show! Andy Dick even made an appearance and he exemplified his name perfectly. He was creepy and hitting on everyone, including Kat! He even bit her shoulder like some sort of WHACKO. We hung with one of the bands for a bit and had a really great time.
Wednesday I went to work and had a pretty normal day. Thursday, it was more of the same but I got to go meet with a potential client which is always exciting. I also got to have some AWESOME homemade ice cream as well.
Friday, we woke up and headed to the Voice! I was so giddy to see the love of my life, Adam Levine, I was almost in tears. I got even more hyped when I read the article featured in Details magazine about him while we waited. NBC knows how to run things! We had seats, food, water and shade while we waited to go in! It was great. We finally were lead into the studio and were seated in the second row on Blake Shelton's side! At first, I was a little disappointed to be on the opposite side of Adam, but it ended up working out since Adam spends most of his time talking to Blake anyway. I had a direct view of his beautiful face.
They filmed some audience shots and the guy who pumps up the crowd was AWESOME. Everything you need to know about the celebrity panel is this. Adam Levine is a perfect human being. Literally. Christina Aguilera is a diva. A straight up diva. Cee Lo was in pajamas and socks and is a nugget. Blake Shelton is SO tall and incredibly funny. In between takes, he was just goofing around and was so awesome. He even winked at us and raised his eyebrows at me when I waved! I told Adam that I love him and he didn't respond by running towards me like I anticipated, but I did get a grunt from him! hahah It was a very long day, but it was AWESOME and we saw an incredible amount of talent.
Last night, we went to a karaoke bar that's just down the hill. We had SUCH a blast. We got a snapshot of us on stage as well as a video of us singing during the final song. We even ran into some fellow students at Oakwoods and one of them even knew one of my really good friends who goes to Elon!
It was a great night. Other than that, we've just been hanging out and catching some rays by the pool.
It's been a bit of a rollercoaster of a week. I found out recently that one of my best friends in the world's father died unexpectedly. It literally breaks my heart. A number of other deaths and diagnoses have been made this week that has made everything just very difficult to be so far away from the people I love. I think it's the first time since I've been here that I truly wish I was able to be on the east coast. My heart goes out to everyone that has lost someone recently. There's nothing like the pain of heartbreak.
For all those who have died recently, Rest In Peace, And to those who have lost loved ones, stay strong and know I'm thinking about you. Heaven has gained a number of angels to look down upon you all.
That being said, I miss everyone so much and I love you!
Lots of love,
Paige xx
