Since I hadn't started at Atlantic yet, I worked at Tailfish on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I got my very own email for the company which is exciting! I got to compose some emails as Taylor's assistant which made me feel very legitimate. I did some more work with addressing letters and research. The usual. I love it though because my boss is awesome so we work and listen to music and chat all day. It's actually a very enjoyable working atmosphere.
On Monday, I headed home from work and walked into a birthday wonderland! It was Julianne's 21st birthday, so Kat had the day off and decorated the whole place with decorations we had bought over the weekend. She also made a ridiculously delicious cake that we continued to snack on throughout the week.
We went to a restaurant called El Compadre because Julianne had to have a flaming margarita in order to bring in her birthday the right way! We bonded with the little valet parking man that Julianne named Artuno and almost got a free meal! The place was completely disorganized, but the food was pretty good and we had a lot of laughs. It was a great night. I dropped them off at the bars and took my 20 year old butt home to bond with the leftover cake and my couch.
Thursday, I got to start at Atlantic Records! I didn't go in until the afternoon but I got a tour of the office and even got to start witha few simple tasks. It was kind of a slow day, but I'm sure it's going to pick up. I love the guys I work for. They're all really funny and friendly. Two of them even went to Ithaca so we're bonding already.
Friday morning, I got up at 5am to head to the airport for my flight home to NY for the weekend. After a slight debacle with a moron, I was on my way. My dad and Liam picked me up at the airport and then we headed to LaGuardia to pick up my mom from her flight home.
Tomorrow is Marisa and Joe's wedding and I'm so incredibly excited! 1. I love weddings. 2. I love every opportunity I get to see my extended family. and 3. I love to party with them for such a happy occasion! It's gonna be a blast.
It's a whirlwind weekend, but it's been great to see my family and some friends. I really don't mind flying at all so it's great that I had the opportunity to go home!
That's all for now.
Lots of love from the east coast,
Paige xx
